Introduction of PIM and Hommel+Keller Webshop

The new funding program of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy was launched on 7 September.
“Digital Jetzt – Investitionsförderung für KMU” enables small and medium-sized enterprises to exploit the economic potential of digitalization.
It offers financial grants for investments in digital technologies and employee training.
Driven by new information technologies, the marketing of products and services now faces very specific challenges.
New and ever more extensive communication and sales channels are available.
Regardless of the media used, up-to-date and consistent relevant information and data must be available and maintained for every service provided by the company.
Ensuring this is essentially the task of Product Information Management – or “PIM” for short.
We also decided to introduce a “PIM” in order to meet these requirements in the area of digitalization.
The Hommel+Keller webshop is the first platform in our company to be automatically filled directly by the PIM.
Thanks to the funding, we were able to implement these two projects very quickly and will present the Hommel+Keller webshop at AMB 2022.
